21st July, 2013. 

By the occasion of the 100th birthday anniversary of József Róth  z'l former Chairman of the Jewish Community  a commemorative plaque was unveiled in our tabernacle at Hunyadi street. 

Previously on 18th April, 2013 there was a commemoration held by the Local Historical Circle at the building of the Local History Collection of Imre Madách Public Library, where Mr. Béla Majdán town-historian remembered to his life. Later Mr. Majdán spoke about the formation of the twenty-years-old Kertész István Foundation, its aims, activities, about the jewish Cemetery of Balassagyarmat and the recent works. The commemoration was held with a crowded room.
